Infants - 6 weeks to 18 months

Welcome to the Infant Room! The Infant Program is geared towards your baby from six weeks to 18 months of age, and is developed with the special needs of that age group in mind.  Apart from a loving and nurturing staff, our Infant Program provides learning experiences to enhance your child’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive and developmental growth. Nurturing caregivers, staffed at a generous 1:4 ratio, provide attentive, affectionate care, showering the infants in language as they perform everyday routines.

Infants typically set their own routine. They tell us when they are hungry or sleepy and we are right there to accommodate every need. We keep a detailed daily log to communicate with parents daily. It includes information such as: how much do they eat?, how often do they eat?, what are their naps like?

An environment of bright colors and appropriate toys provides optimum stimulation for the infant's growth. You will find mirrors and rugs, baskets filled with soft fabric or natural materials, sensory tables, and lots of great books to hold (and chew on!).  There are also musical instruments; toys for pretend play; safe equipment and outdoor places to safely explore; and lots of cuddly laps and open arms to provide young babies with the security and confidence they need to spread their wings.
